Providing opportunities for children to explore the marks that they make and begin to give meaning to the marks they make, this ready-made provision area will inspire enriched engagement as children intentionally create patterns, shapes and lines.
Featuring a good range of chunky drawing tools including crayons, pencils and colourful chalk, with hanging chalk boards and a set of Feels Write, tactile writing stones. Complete with an assortment of printed greeting cards, plain card and paper stationery, all displayed in plastic storage trays and pots, and presented on our wooden robust classroom furniture. This curated selection of materials will support children as they engage in early mark making activities.
Whilst leading children’s mark making towards writing is a skilful process, this complete provision area will support children’s passion, confidence and skill in expressing themselves.
